Review of Stroszek (1977) by Roger T — 12 May 2009
Stroszek is a monument to futility, which really could be said about alot of Herzog's films. But this one sees him turning his sights on the American Dream, with his jabs more dead on than most American directors I've seen attack this subject.
The ending has some pretty straightforward references to "Even Dwarves Started Small," though they're given a much less triumphant tone in this one.
