Feels like I saw a different movie than the folks that gave it rave reviews. I was pretty much detached from the whole thing. When I find myself wondering how they did the CGI to make it look like his legs were gone and whether his mother was like that in real life and whether she was okay with her portrayal, I know I'm not engaged at all.
