Review of Striptease (1976) by Marat P — 01 Jun 2011
Given that my viewing is not even over yet, this film doesn't to too well to hold my attention. What I think helps 'Striptease' is that whilst it has a serious component to the narrative (murder etc) it does have a lot of fun with itself.
Burt Reynolds' character is humorous and we see this with his (somewhat non p.c) cry for 'Poontang' in the opening scene. It's great to see a young Ving Rhames too. Demi? Well, even though her performance is every bit as plastic as her breasts, she does 'dance' very well.
