Review of Stripes (2005) by Peter B — 27 Oct 2009
Slightly disappointing given that murray and candy are in it and reitman directed. The laugh quotas too low and when they do come theyre smiley rather than laugh out loud style. Too long for a film with no plot and should have steered more to the scattershot and quickfire rather than shoehorning in some romace.
Does every moovy have to shoehorn in a romancey style subplot? True loves all around and a part of life but when you stop and look pretty much all films feel the need to put in lovey dovey stuff. It gets in the way of the laughs.
But its good when egon n venkman are together and has some smiles in it.
