Review of Stripes (1981) by Chris A — 10 Feb 2012
When it comes to the 80's this is a golden masterpiece of raunchy comedy that not many have come close to. To a blockbuster cast featuring Harold Ramis and John Candy and of course the extremely effective Bill Murray, Stripes is something that just can't be recreated today.
Not much of an effective script or plot, but when properly executed and done more in a improv type feel, Stripes comes off as a masterpiece. The mud wrestling scene with John Candy will forever be remembered even after his regretful death.
