Review of Strings (2015) by Kristina R — 06 Jun 2007
"tied by hate, bound by love"...I was a little apprehensive about this one as all of the "actors" are marionettes, but any limitations there was made up for with some great cinematographic choices.
I love that the presence of the puppet's strings was tied in (sorry for the pun) to the architecture of the mythical kingdom. For xample, the main gate is merely a bar that rises at night, so that the puppet's strings can't enter and they are locked out.
Overall a typical story line presented in a really creative way. I truly have never seen anything like this.
