Review of Strings (2004) by Jacqui _ — 29 Jun 2007
What I enjoy most about this film is its novel retelling of a Shakespearian-type drama and its prevelant use of the characters strings. How can you not love a film in which none of the buildings have roofs or a draw bridge is simply a horizontal bar (the strings go up infinitely into the sky, so they cannot go under the bar)? When dueling the characters do not go for weak points on the body but for their opponents strings.
To render an enemies arm useless you cut his/her arm string. To kill an enemy, you cut his or her head string. Good stuff! We're all connected. If anyone I know wants to see this, we own it and would love to have a viewing!
