Review of Striking Distance (1993) by Robert B — 09 Jul 2007
I love this movie for one reason, it takes place in and promeintly protrays the great city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A movie that seemed destined for late night HBO and weekend afternoon airings, this movie really isn't that bad.
Bruce plays Tom Hardy if John McClane was transferred to the Burgh and got board because there was no terrorists around. Sarah Jessica Parker makes a pre-Sex and the City apperance as Bruce's love interest, and isn't that interesting.
I do like supporting roles of Tom Sizemore, Robert Pastorelli, and espically Dennis Farina. Love the shot where Bruce is cruising up the Ohio, and there is that pull break from the Point to reveal my beloved Steel City.
