Review of Streets of Fire (1984) by Sam B — 18 Jun 2009
Oh, man. The longer I watched, the more I realized this was going to become one of my new favorite movies. The dirty sets, the amazing dialogue, the wooden acting, the awesome music and Willem Dafoe looking like a creepy, leather/rubber clad vampire biker, Diane Lane seemingly reprising her love of singing from LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: THE FABULOUS STAINS, Bill Paxton with a pompadour and a missing tooth and Rick Moranis as the not too convincing corporate heavy were pure icing on the cake. Thank you, Walter Hill.
