Review of StreetDance 2 (2012) by Charlie S — 09 Apr 2012
I feel that these dance films have truely run out of ideas now, step up 1 and 2 hell even a few before that ( save the last dance, honey ) were very good because there was something fresh and new to watch dance wise.
This movie is dreadful, the acting other then a few decent performances was laughable and wooden. The acting from george sampson ( some kid who won a show what? like 8 years ago ) proves he needs to stick to just dancing and not having a speaking role in any film ever again.
The lead guy is the worst who stumbles his way through lines with no conviction whatsoever. The dancing in the film... same ol. if you've seen it once you've seen it a million times over the last few years.. people doing backflips across the screen and exactly the same dance moves the rest of the films have shown. nothing new at all. The 3d aspect was irrelevant and not needed at all. overall - stick to the older "street dance movies" eg - step up etc, much better acting and more entertaining by far..
