Review of Street Trash (1987) by Kevin M — 04 Dec 2007
A schizoid stew of about 7 competing themes and storylines revolving around a mystery drink known as "Viper" which becomes the ultimate hobo wine thanks to its $1 price tag. Too bad it makes you explode and/or melt into a variety of bright gooey colors once swallowed.
What plot there is concerns hobo politics, shoplifting, Vietnam flashbacks, bodies in a sewage canal, the police investigating the homicides (poorly), The Mafia, and reconciliation between two estranged brothers.
The final kill is great but if you cut out the over-the-top gore, this film is an unwatchable trainwreck. Good luck watching this sober, by the way.
