Formulaic and flawed, "Street Kings" shows sparks of promise every so often, but is dragged down by a mundane middle. Keanu Reeves and Common put forth solid efforts and the action scenes are invigorating.
If only it would have presented fully realized ideas instead of just their initial buds. But if you're in the mood to identify with a self-deprecating cop or just zone out with some mindless action, "Street King" will not disappoint.
