Review of Street Kings (2008) by James T — 18 Jun 2009
A film which could have given a lot more, a gritty thriller it may have been but it was all to predictable in the end. While it would have risen above aother police corruption films it was let down in certain areas by moving too quickly through the storyline in an attempt to reach the knock out blow.
Reeves again was not at his best and Hugh Laurie needs to work on perfecting an American accent, Chris Evans was alright but not around long enough to really establish his character and Forest Whitaker was again at his best. It's an above average film, but only just.
