Review of Street Kings (2008) by David S — 07 Dec 2009
Ive begun to learn that Keanu can only act in one way, the way he speaks is one way, the way he seems to move and interact is one way... so already its something thats put me off this film. The plot? Well its pretty reasonable but as you go on, there are probably more than 10+ twists and it just becomes completely unrealistic. Again another negative for me.
So the script, as said the plot at first is reasonable, but the dialogue is something to behold. I dont know if its Keanu's fault but its just terrible. Minus again.
There's not alot positive I can say about this film, nothing stands out and no actor shines. Even the distractions of people around me at the train station waiting for my train could put me off to how little I was enjoying this film.
Dont get me wrong, its a pretty average film, but its seriously nothing more than that. As for Chris Evans, I was expecting the Ginger, funny (apparently) guy... oh how I was let down with the chance to laugh at him. It was unfortunately another actor with the exact same name, never seen him/heard of him before.
Again; Average.
