Review of Street Kings (2008) by Trevor L — 07 Jan 2010
From the screenwriter of L.A. Confidential, comes a movie that tries too hard to be L.A. Confidential and FAILS. I wouldn't be too harsh on this movie but it's just so dull; for almost 90 minutes nothing happens and soon you'll be begging to see anything put Keanu Reeves' racist character or jay Mohr's mugging for the camera.
Thankfully, there is a small beacon of light: Hugh Laurie's character is entertaining and interesting enough that you'll be clamouring for him to return in focus to the action, but to no avail.
This isn't a terrible movie, but a terribly forgettable one.
