Review of Street Kings (2008) by Jason S — 11 Feb 2010
Keanu Reeves has starred in much better movies, but gave an excellent performance as a bad cop with a heart. Hugh Laurie's "House" character lent an interesting spin to the cop thriller of the 80's.
Forest Whitaker seemed to struggle at times with pulling off his character. Despite being small roles, I was disappointed with the lack of depth in the characters portrayed by Jay Mohr and Dane Cook. The story has potential, but it seems to drag on a bit at moments, making this film seem much longer than 1h 47m.
