Review of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) by Steve J — 13 Feb 2010
Just one big slap in the face to the fans. What would be wrong with being faithful to the original idea? Make it about Ryu & Sagat, with the tournament as a backdrop. Why did Capcom think the target audience for this film would be ten year old girls? This is tedious nonsense, full of bad or cliché ideas, poor scripting, average fight scenes and bears no resemblance to the games it's named after.
Oh, and Chris Klien is a really bad actor. I'd take the 94 version any day, that is at least funny and borderline relevant to the games.
