Review of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) by Justin Z — 17 Apr 2010
OK, I walked in expected to truly truly hate this even though its based on a Capcom game - I only mostly hated it! The story was slow and the acting was painful, but it really could have been worse. Duncan was cool as Balrog, but none of the other characters were remotely true to the video game and it was more like a sad attempt to make Kruek into a super hero - yawn. The beginning showed promise and then Kruek sucked up the screen and it spiraled slowly downhill from there. The rope work with the stunts was pathetic as well.
ACTING = *.
STORY = **.
PLOT = **.
EFFECTS = **.
OVERALL = **.
* = YOU DIDNT EVEN TRY - SUCKTASTIC - HATED IT.
** = YOU TRIED, BUT DIDNT QUITE MAKE IT - DIDNT LIKE IT.
*** = AVERAGE - TOLERATED IT.
**** = GOOD JOB! YOU REALLY TRIED! - I LIKED IT.
***** = YOU ARE FREAKIN' AWESOME! - I LOVED IT.
