Review of Strawberry Shortcake: The Sweet Dreams Movie (2006) by Kevin R — 14 Nov 2015
It's never silly to believe.
Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are not getting along so well these days. She has dreams of throwing a party, getting her friends together, and everyone getting along. She uses her dreams to make her wishes come true.
"We're running out of time.".
"That's not all we're running out of.".
Karen Hyden, director of episodes from the television series Horseland, Doria, Trollz, and Sabrina, delivers Strawberry Shortcake: The Sweet Dreams Movie in her directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is just okay but the animation, settings, and universe created are entertaining and well done.
"They'll forget they were ever mad at each other.".
I came across this on Netflix and thought this would be fun to watch with my daughter. The story itself is nothing special, but the characters and their setting were beautiful and the animation was way better than I anticipated. I recommend watching this once with your child.
"To believe in your dreams, first, you must believe in yourself.".
Grade: C+.
