Review of Straw Dogs (2011) by Denise M — 04 Dec 2011
The storyline follows the 1971 release, but it's still as good as the original. Although you know how the film is going to pan out, it didn't matter. There were some menacing characters such as the local football coach, Tom Heddon, who didn't give a flying fuck who's path he crossed and Charlie with his motley crew of builders.
The only thing Charlie had on his mind after the new couple moved in was to get back with his ex, Amy Sumner, now married to David. The tension in the film rose steadily unit the final assault on the house where all hell's let loose.
If you haven't seen either film then at least watch one of them...
