Review of Straw Dogs (2011) by Sarah Q — 30 Dec 2011
This movie didn't really get going until the last 30 minutes. Was surprised to see James Woods in this seeing he was not touted as being in the movie. Same old story, couple moves to small southern town and is tormented by locals, except this one has a few twists and some pretty graphic scenes like a brutal rape scene of Kate Bosworth.
She shines in everything she is in and not sure why you don't see her more often. Marsden played a perfect snob but was nice to see him fight back in the end. The one who upstaged everyone was Skarsgard who plays the best southern redneck type.
Good action in the end but dragged a bit leading up to these parts. I can see why this movie was a dud though.
