Review of Straw Dogs (2011) by Ruhanul I — 04 Jan 2012
A decent movie. Maybe not quite as good as I hoped (always good to see Kate Bosworth), but still worth watching. The movie is kinda slow with it''s small town "Friday Night Lights"-gone-bad build up.
James Woods is good as a drunken, ex-high school football coach, who essentially is king of the town. What ultimately makes the movie worth the watch is the last half hour. The slow build-up does have pay off.
Some interesting ways to die are shown during the final scenes. I enjoyed them a lot... not quite as much as "I Spit On Your Grave"... but still, nonetheless.
