Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Aaron C — 01 Aug 2010
Young couple move to the English countryside, and are forced to defend their home after the locals turn ugly. Not nearly as shocking as I expected, but aptly filmed for what it is; and that's basically "Home Alone" meets "Deliverance".
The pace of the film was also a little too plodding for me and didn't really do much for the buildup of suspense like I had hoped, but it's well acted, and probably the better of it's kind in this genre.
