Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Karl W — 10 Jan 2009
This often vilified tale of the extent of human violence is also one of the most wonderfully disturbing films ever made by Sam Peckinpah. It's tearing down of man and and society to the base level of territoriality and animalism is at once dark and brilliant.
Violence is in us all.
