Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Kristina K — 23 Apr 2011
I've been watching a lot of character-less empty movies lately, so it's nice to stumble upon a really well done movie. This is one of those timeless movies that doesn't need a remake. The plot, the characters, the acting was all brilliant really.
Dustin Hoffman showed various stages of acting here. One problem I have with this movie... I'm not sure what the director wanted to show us in the beginning. I mean, yeah every man has his breaking point, but the main character is an incredible douche and his wife is a slutty idiot.
.. so the ending was obvious. Still, it' a very intense movie, especially the second half.
