Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Chris D — 14 Dec 2008
The film can be regarded as having some hidden meanings and be an example to show problems between gender and class.
But I have to say I didn't enjoy it in the same way I didn't enjoy Get Carter.. too brutal and disturbing for my taste, I enjoy the classics where the filmography and idea are timeless, they stay genius even through the modern age and can still be considered very clever or true to perspective.
This film had a little of that but a lot more of it was just strange and gruesome.
