Review of Straw Dogs (1971) by Alex V — 17 Sep 2011
I'm not sure if I necessarily liked this movie. I'm very appreciative of it, though. Hoffman is fantastic, as usual. The directing and editing is very harrowing and precise. It succeeded at being incredibly unsettling, so I'll probably never watch it again.
In short, I suppose it does what it was there for: to be unpleasant and shocking. I'll give it props for that.
