Review of Strauss R: Elektra (2010) by Nicola W — 04 Jan 2012

This movie is a too disconnected and felt incomplete. I did not care for the chopped up series of flashbacks as a means to tell the most critical part of the story. Jennifer Garner is pretty good as Elektra, but the other characters (both good and evil) are undercooked and have sub-par acting.

I feel that there are too many super villains for one movie and that only exacerbated the chaotic feel and underdevelopment of the whole movie. I was extremely disappointed that there was no connection to Elektraâ(TM)s fate in the movie Daredevil, that was a lost opportunity to do something cool.

This is all a big shame because Elektra is a cool superhero and deserved a better movie than this.
