Review of Strangers on a Train (1951) by Chris S — 20 Sep 2008
I have noticed a familiar face in here, Farley Granger who also stars as an anxious and guilty murderer in a favorite Hitchcock film of mine, Rope. The climax is well-done with the hurriedly done tennis match and the chase.
And the psychotic man is a despicable and awkward yet hilarious character. It's no wonder that this is a phenomenal film when it is based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith, the creator of the Ripley novels, as well as directed by the legendary Hitchcock.
This is an Alfred Hitchcock movie with a literal merry-go-round ending.
