Review of Strangers on a Train (1951) by David S — 28 Nov 2011
Strangers on a Train is a classic Hitchcock film with the classic suspense that so easily flows in his films. It works well with the characters and the psychotic intentions of Bruno, however it maintains a few silly qualms that, although they do not detract from the story, they somewhat lessen the credibility of the villain.
Opposed to Psycho, where the audience cannot help being drawn in, Strangers on a Train is a tad more difficult to get emotionally drowned in. Nonetheless, it is a fantastic movie that trumps many thrillers today.
