Review of Stranger Than Paradise (1984) by Constantin R — 13 May 2008
An absurd comedy where nothing really matters, the actions are cold. It's kind of a study of human existence based on meaningless. Jarmusch has an innate sense of capturing the essence of the everyday and transforming the most simplistic and mundane events into refreshingly documented.
Good acting for this movie, because it's shown how the peoples feel and eventually live in solitude. The entire film consists of long takes; each of the film's scenes is contained within a single shot, followed by a few seconds of black leader.
