Review of Stranger Than Paradise (1984) by Dave M — 12 Jun 2008
Having already seen "Down By Law", perhaps I'm a little biased toward this film, which doesn't quite pack the same punch. It was a good film, reminiscent of early John Cassavetes (see: "Shadows") but with a little less going on.
The dynamic between the characters was great, but the twist at the end left a little to be desired. Still, Jarmusch does what he does best - making a lot out of very little.
