Review of Stranger Than Paradise (1984) by Greg S — 21 May 2011
This had the hallmarks of a great post-film school project. Rather than trying to do too much with too little, the film is a balance of style and substance. You see a lot of Jarmusch's stylistic elements appear here in their purest form, quirks and techniques that evolve throughout the rest of his ouvre.
And oh yeah, there are some moments that are just funny as hell. Aunt Tottie: "I am the winner." :D.
