Sometimes, less is more. This movie is the ultimate proof of this saying: the extremly dry humor and minimalist cinematographic techniques are probably 1000 times more effective than any student-filmmaker trying to make a overly-stylised movie.
Stranger than paradise takes on the banality of the everyday life while mocking the entire "raison d'être" of american society. A great piece of american cinema !!!
