Review of Stranger Than Paradise (1984) by Sunshine J — 26 Sep 2007
I was thrown out of the theater along with my friend Serge for laughing during this film when it was released in the theater.
The people weren't yet acquainted with Jarmusch's sense of humor and took the black and white, dead pan comedy very, very seriously and our laughter was somehow getting in the way of the crowded theater's efforts to not laugh.
The film is high art, low brow humor, beautiful, silly, and strange.
