Stranger than Fiction may have strayed into Kaufmann territories, but is nonetheless novel and original in its own right. It may not have an ending as rewarding given the immense premise, but it is rewarding nonetheless.
Occasionally annoying Will Ferrell takes a turn for serious and delivers, while Maggie Gyllenhaal effectively plays a charming baker that seems out of character enough for her, it makes one sad when she goes off-screen.
