Review of Stranger Than Fiction (2000) by Scott S — 02 Dec 2011
Will Ferrell's OCD auditer character in Stranger Than Fiction is a work of comic genius, minimalism, and depth. This is a thinking man's movie that ended up being my favorite of the year (2006).
The director deserves a LOT of credit for the innovative way he visualizes how Ferrell's character thinks in such mathematical terms. I recommend renting the DVD and also watching the "how it was made" bits.
Fascinating. Touching. Brilliant.
