Review of Stranger Than Fiction (2000) by Champ S — 07 May 2018
Oh get *real*. He jumps out in front of a bus to save the life of a boy on his bike, and suffers critical injuries? How fast could that stupid bus have been going? It was pulling to a stop as it was! A few bumps and bruises, perhaps, a bonk on the noggin, but -- really? Sorry, but if that was the ending of Kay Eiffel's book that made it a "masterpiece", then it must have been a novel of utter bathos. Lazy and inept writing of the worst possible kind.
Apart from that, it was entertaining and undemanding, but this sort of thing has been done so much better in books. (*coughJasperFfordecough*).
