Review of Stranger by the Lake (2013) by Kenny R — 08 Aug 2014
Wow, surprisingly great film. Not at all what I expected from the review descriptions. Beautifully filmed, amazing acting. Quiet, slow & suspenseful. Yes, theres lots of full frontal nudity & graphic gay sex, but it wasn't offensive. It was filmed so well you could almost feel the warm summer breeze. I look forward to more films directed by Alain Guiraudie.
CAUTION: Lotsa uncircumcised penises, graphic gay sex & brief wanking lol.

The lead (Deladonchamps) was so handsome & sweet, but why o why did he go with the guy he saw drown someone? To desire someone you don't know is one thing but to overlook a murder... c'mon, that character, even in blind love, wouldn't be so stupid. I so wanted him to end up with Henri, it almost made me cry.
