Review of Strange World (2022) by Teaowlet — 30 Nov 2022
It’s an alright movie when it comes to soundtrack and animation, and the voice actions was decent enough too. However, the characters were boring, the story wasn’t engaging enough, and I couldn’t help but feel certain elements in society were stomped on on purpose (masculinity, in particular).
I didn’t mind Ethan being gay, but it wasn’t explored at all, and his love interest is nothing but arm candy when it comes to the audience. The climate agenda was WAAAY too obvious, and it was cheesy and grating to experience.
Very disappointed, especially for Disney.
