Review of Strange Magic (2015) by Lynette M — 31 Jan 2015
Alan Cummings delivered his usual super-competent work, and it's quite evident that everyone hired tried darn hard.
The movie even said some uninsipid things about the nature of romantic love.
But when Lucas has the heroine train blindfolded with a sword, swiping away at fairy-thrown objects (imitating the LukSkywalker "use the force" scene from Star Wars), it points to me not to producer George Lucas' wit, but rather demonstrates egotism and an unwillingness to let the writers work.
If the writers inserted that gag, shame on you.
