Review of Strange Magic (2015) by Kaitlyn T — 31 May 2015
Strange Magic is a movie that could have been good 15 years ago when Georges Lucas started the idea of making this film. Today, Strange Magic seems like a bad mash-up of other movies in the same genre that we have already seen recently (Frozen, Epic, Schreck to name a few.
..). What it does offer is a different approach to a love story. Unfortunately, the musical singing part tends to take away the Magic of the moment. But the Strange is definitely there with character design inspired by video gaming and 3D background imagery that makes the decor flowing smoothly from one scene to another.
In my opinion you can either like this movie or hate it.
