Review of Strange Days (1995) by Shane H — 19 Jan 2009
It's kinda funny to go back and watch older movies and see hoe they thought the future was gonna be. This movie only projected 5 years to the turn of the millenium but boy were they was off, and still kinda right on.
The movie branches off into a dark possibility of technology where peoples life experiences are recorded using a device then sold so that others can live them through their own eyes. Things as dark as murder, death, suicide, sex and as light as, jogging if you are crippled or even being a 17 year old girl in the shower.
The main character comes across a tape of a murder rape that turns out to be a police conspiracy to cover it up all wrapped up in the possible apocolypse at the turn of midnight 1999.
