Good sci-fi movie, anchored in a certain amount of realism. I'm happy that the millennium shift did not turn out like this although it would have been cool to be at a new years-party like the one in the movie.
The concept of the SQUID technology is used well and it certainly feels like something that could be invented, not too far into the future.
