Review of Strange Days (1995) by Shawna L — 08 Oct 2011
Seven years before Minority Report, there was Strange Days, an intense, far-out journey of the mind--to what-if's and if-only's. There are some, naturally, uncomfortable rape scenes, yet they're neither typical nor gratuitous, plus they actually move along the plot.
Also like Minority Report, there are good "hardcore underground world" perspectives and action scenes, when the action and fights had to be extra good because movies couldn't depend as much on special effects to wow an audience; the action therein had to be enough.
Cool flick that I recommend.
