Review of Strange Days (1995) by Rod E — 10 Apr 2013
This was one that I tried to like and even had a dub of it on a VHS tape, but somehow I just didn't get into this. Maybe it is because Ralph Fiennes cant really carry a movie or the fact that I didn't care about him and Juliette Lewis and their relationship.
Strange Days not being very good leads me to wonder why movies involving virtual reality aren't very good. Quasi futuristic movies like this normally don't do it for me. Give me a post apocalyptic setting or some razzle dazzle sci-fi but dont give me some mediocre drama and wrap it up in a pretty Hollywood bow that pretends to me deep and gritty.
