Review of Straight to Hell (1987) by Dream # — 11 Oct 2006

This was a very strange movie, but I like it. It is a hard one to describe. It has a bunch of muscians from UK and Ireland playing cowboy type criminals... like Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello and The Pogues.

Courtney Love is in it too. Also filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, Dennis Hopper, and Grace Jones, as well as a lot of the cast from Repo Man. Probably not to everyones tastes. It's very quirky, but to be expected from director Alex Cox and co-writer/actor Dick Rude.

There is a lot of killing and everyone is a coffee addict. It's like a take off on old spaghetti westerns. Very silly at times, but a lot of fun.
