Review of Straight Outta Tompkins (2015) by Steve S — 20 May 2015
Writer/director/actor Zephyr Benson chronicles his own serious issues struggling with drug addiction and selling of narcotics in a rough area of New York City. It is at times a bit awkward, but it succeeds is feeling pretty authentic in its depiction of the mean streets of the Tmpkins area.
Benson takes command of his material and surprises with how self assured he is.
