Review of Straight Outta Compton (2015) by Mark F — 23 Jan 2016

Yo! Alright. I want to get this straight. I want to let this out my heart right now. I am writing this review about 20 minutes after watching, well, for me, the SECOND best movie of 2015, Straight Outta Compton. Now maybe y'all that this movie is just all about gangsta sh*t and all about a rebellious rap group from the 80's to the 90's, but you have to watch it to believe me that this is so much more.

So Straight Outta Compton is a movie featuring the life of America's most dangerous group N.W.A (Niggaz with Attitude). I do not know much about rap, but I know Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy E, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, and Aftermath records and all of the things that really happen in real life. And to portray it dramatically and how all these things put together? Just leaves you in awe! The emotion in the film was so deep I even cried. The story was great, the acting was so much more incredible. You can really see that these guys were Eazy, Cube, Dre. They were who they portray. Jason Mitchell as Eazy E? I mean why I haven't heard about this actor?! He was so great, it was my most memorable experience in this movie.

What I like about this movie as well is the manifestation of self-expression. The movie really say it strong to the audience that you say what you want to say and you say what is wrong with the society. The rappers' story and the message behind it (which is the self expression and the truth behind what the government is trying to do to us) was overwhelming I could not lay my eyes off the movie.

5 stars and my emotion tells me that after 20 minutes I wanna watch it again. If you think it does not deserve 5 stars, please tell me why. :) I'm out!
