Review of Straight Outta Compton (2015) by Carol R — 05 Mar 2016
I remember my cousin telling me about the passing of Eazy- E when it happened and his story was so unfortunate; a struggle til the end. I can relate to cop discrimination and I'm in my 30's, I'm a female and hispanic.
Many of my friends were discriminated too so I raved for them. People with power forget why they have that position. R.I.P Easy- E, Tupac, Biggie and all those destined to the streets of hell. This was an inspiration to those that love music, well portrayed and fun to watch.
Knowing that not everyone goes thru the same hardships but the business is risky and shady. Shows that some people with money are greedy and want more. The story tells you their history, their challenges, and I couldn't help but feel for their frustrations and challenges and it goes beyond words.
Proud of Dr. Dre and Ice Cube for their success...some of my fave rappers!
